Biomarkers are biological molecules found in blood, other body fluids or tissues, that are signs of a normal or abnormal process, a disease or a condition. Biomarkers may be used to observe how well the body responds to treatment for a disease or condition.
BioM-Pathfinder is a fully-automated cartridge-based system that measures select biomarkers from ocular fluid. For example, when tears are tested, the simple procedure involves:
Grow Laboratories, along with the Narayana Nethralaya group of eye hospitals, after extensive research, has found that 8 biomarkers are critical and adequate for the analysis of ocular samples like tears, aqueous humor and vitreous humor. With a clinically validated database, the artificial intelligence (AI) based report generates an analysis of 4 biomarkers in a single cartridge. To have all 8 biomarkers analysed, the extended report needs 2 cartridges. The report provides actionable information before any type of treatment or intervention is done.
One cartridge can hold 32 samples. If the test is done on both the eyes of a patient, it can accommodate samples from 16 patients.
No. The cartridge comes with microfluidic technology and is for one-time use only.
Yes, multiple sample types like tears, aqueous humor or vitreous humor can be analysed in a single test.
A single cartridge takes around 90 minutes to be tested.
Yes. The samples can be stored at a temperature of 4oC up to 72 hours.
Yes, the machine will be supplied with the complete kit/accessories required to conduct the tests. Please write an e-mail to contactus@novomoldx.com for further details
The cost depends on the number of samples in the cartridge. To know more, please write an e-mail to contactus@novomoldx.com
